Burnside is a Business and Enterprise specialist school and a hub for other Business & Enterprise schools in the Tyne and Wear area.

The specialist status is reflected throughout the school and promotes equality and equity. The specialist status is a joint venture between Burnside and Beacon Hill, whom Burnside have been in partnership for the past two decades.

At Burnside we are committed to developing resources for our students and staff as well as the wider community and its partners.  Below is a selection of resources and sites we have developed inhouse.

  • Burnside Feeder Schools

    www.burnside-feederschools.co.uk

Burnside Feeder Schools is a site developed by Burnside as a transition site for Year 6 students in our Primary Feeder schools. The site contains information about the subjects a new student will have as well as pictures of their new teachers. We have worked closely with Year 6 students to produce a list of Frequently Asked Questions to hopefully answer some of the questions a Year 6 student will have about Burnside.

  • Cross Curricular Tracker

    Cross Curricular Tracker

    www.xcurricular-tracker.co.uk

The Cross Curricular Tracker is a web based management tool designed and developed by schools for schools. This site has been developed so that schools can record, track and monitor Enterprise, Cross Curricular themes, work related learning and citizenship across the curriculum.

The Cross Curricular Tracker was previously known as the Enterprise Tracker, but was upgraded to incorporate the Cross Curriculum Dimensions.
